Helping community sports clubs access the funding they deserve

Tiny Sports Limited is a for-purpose organisation that helps Australian grassroots sports clubs and independent coaches navigate government grant programs, build their capacity, and grow their programs so they can focus on what matters: the athletes.

The funding gap in grassroots sport

Government grants exist to support community sport but most coaches and small clubs don't know they exist, don't meet the eligibility criteria as sole traders, or don't have the time or capacity to apply. Tiny Sports bridges that gap.

We act as the incorporated entity that applies on behalf of clubs and coaches, handling the paperwork, writing the applications, and managing the acquittal so the funding gets to where it's needed.

Grant programs we work with

We work with state government grant programs across Victoria and Queensland, with national coverage growing as we expand our partner network.

Why we exist

Jarasport — the story behind Tiny Sports

Jarasport is an independent coaching program based in Victoria, specialising in triathlon, road cycling, and velodrome track cycling. Coach Simon has developed athletes at every level from first-timers to competitors at ITU Triathlon World Championships.

Despite producing world-class results, Jarasport operates as a sole-trader business, meaning it was locked out of Sport & Recreation Victoria grant programs entirely. Working with Jarasport revealed the scale of this problem and became the model for everything Tiny Sports does.

Our compliance commitments

Tiny Sports and all partner organisations we support adhere to these standards as a condition of government grant funding.

Victorian Fair Play Code

We adhere to and promote Victoria's Fair Play Code, establishing safe, fair, and inclusive sporting environments across all programs we support. The Code's five principles — Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, and Safety — are embedded in our operations and those of our partner organisations.

Child Safe Standards

Where participants under 18 are involved, we require partner organisations to have implemented Victoria's 11 Child Safe Standards — including child-focused complaints processes, suitable workforce screening, and documented child safety policies. We confirm compliance as part of every grant application.

National Anti-Doping Policy

We comply with the Australian National Anti-Doping Scheme and Australian National Anti-Doping Policy where required. Partner organisations are expected to operate in accordance with Sport Integrity Australia's anti-doping requirements relevant to their level of competition.
